I’ve been a little lapse in updating Little Pea Green in the last few weeks but, amongst all of life’s horribleness there has also been much happiness. Intent on focusing on the good stuff I thought I’d share a rather fabulous jubilee weekend in London with you all.
The story goes back a few months when I saw a BBC advert for The Diamond Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace. All you had to do was go online and enter your details to be in with a chance of getting one of 10,000 tickets to a celebratory picnic and concert to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 60 years on the throne.
Now, I never win anything but my luck seems to have been in recently so, with nothing to lose I applied and, would you blooming well believe it, I got a pair of tickets! Hop, step and jump forward to the first weekend in June and Mr G and I were queuing along with 10,000 others for a weekend of a lifetime.
I could go on but, it seemed fitting to let the pictures do the talking (unfortunately the tickets said we couldn’t take cameras (although annoyingly tons of people did) so you’ll have to rely on my Instagram memories instead).
