One of the main things on our wish list when we were considering moving from our first home early last year was a garden. Our first house, albeit in the centre of the village, only had a tiny yard out front so no sitting outside enjoying the English summer with a glass of wine or the smell of freshly wind-dried washing. Of course, we were also starting to think about starting a family and ideally, little people need a garden to play in so, we were thrilled when we found a property, just down the road, with a nice long garden looking out on farmer’s fields.
The house was owned by an old couple so the garden had fallen into disarray but luckily for us my Mum and Dad love being outdoors pottering in the garden. Fast forward to this year and, after an immense amount of digging, weeding, laying of lawns, planting etc we have a beautiful garden to enjoy. And, this weekend with the unusually warm weather the garden has really come into its own. Thought I’d share a few pictures.
We’re very lucky.
